    great looking jacket and leather, I get it you like your jacket long-ish, since it is a dual zip perhaps just un do the bottom zipper pull a bit to release the tension on the hip, so the back panel can rest and flow better so will reduce the creasing on the mid back, congrats again!

    I think the back is not too short, but contrary the back is a bit too long for this style that's why you get a lot of creases on the back, but the rest of the jacket fits you well, so perhaps just wait until the leather breaks up and relaxes a bit with more wears and perhaps rain.

    thanks for your indepth analysist with diluting dye, my black dye is also waterbased , and I also didn't seal with any "varnish" post dyeing it the first time, I did not dilute the dye but I only apply it with patting stamp so from the start it was already not a solid black more like cloudy...
