   Navy Peacoat with Canton Police Buttons

   I purchased from an old estate an early peacoat that I need your opinion on. It has no maker label or markings but has the cordaroy pocket lining. The wool is close cut fine wool, dark blue-black. the plastic buttons have the normal anchor/rope. I thought it was just an early WW2 peacoat...
