I think ALOT of people here and around the world have this notion that all american made products are inferior. I am of the belief that inferior leadership leads to inferior products. For example look at Toyota and Nissan, most of their cars sold in america are made here and with the right...
If your able to buy the RMJP jacket let me know where you found it becuase I would like to pick one up. By the way I own the WPG version and its good but you can deffinitely tell it was made in a sweatshop overseas
Buzz Ricksons made one a few years back and so did What Price Glory but both have sold out. I believe Real McCoy Japan might be making one still, if you can find it.

You would have to look on the japanese market for these types of sweaters and clothing. I have seen them making these before, but forget the links. Maybe some of the other forum members will have better memory.
I got the skinny from WPG that he will be making the most authentic and well made 1889 campaign hat on the market today. It will not be cheap though at about $315. But it is claimed to follow all the original specs right down to 4 oz spec weight and to be made from the best quality materials.
I am really interested in picking up a 1889 or span-am era repro campaign hat and was wondering who makes the best and most authentic version. I see that Dirty Bills, Eureka Arsenal and a place called River Junction all make a version so I need help deciding which one to buy? I really know...
I was the one who originally commissioned the "open road" jacket and need to clear somethings up about it. The original "open road" jacket was based on a jacket produced by The Few last year and would like to give them credit for it. I asked Magnoli Clothiers to produce it and asked them to...
I could not agree more with your assesment. On long several day hikes wool is just to heavy to carry and does not dry fast enough. Also if you are sleeping in a snow cave or in harsh cold weather wool just can't compare to a good down jacket in being lightweight and still keeping you warm. For...
I been on this forum for awhile and rarely post but I thought I might add my 2 cents on wool clothing when compared with synthetics. I have been an avid outdoorsmen for years now and have used everything from cotton to wool and alpaca to nylon and I must say that wool is a very good outdoor...
Thanks, glad to be here.
Unfortunately I take a 40 long now which sort of a rare size and which is nearly impossible to find on ebay or any where. The last time I tried to sell the jacket on ebay it only went to about $200:( or so. Most likely due to the longer sleeve and body length...
I have a Aero A-2 I got several years ago and since then I lost weight and found that it does not fit me so well. It really has no wear, since I moved to a hot climate shortly after buying it, so I really hate to get rid of it. So what I am looking to do is get it altered in the waist area to...
Hello Everyone,
I have been watching this form for awhile and now decided to become a member finally, so here goes my first question. Has anyone seen or may have the book called "Full Gear" by Aota Mituhiro? I found its web site www.Fullgear.net but it looks like he only has a limited...
