I think your hair is gorgeous Fraeulein! I wish my middy/set had turned out like that. Maybe I should pin curl it.... I was hoping the middy cut with my naturally curly hair would look good, but, it doesn't! :(
Welcome Miss C!

Hi everyone,
I tried the headband method. The results, pretty good! Lots of curl, which looked pretty much the same as my natural curl.
Next time I'll choose a different leave in spray, or just do it with my hair damp. I didn't like the product I chose. Feels icky!
The curl in the back...
Spiffy looking gents!
Thanks hun. I recently had the lining redone in that coat...expensive! :(
Thank you Miss. ;0
Your outfit sounds lovely. Wish we could see it! [huh]

Excellent, do let us know. My brain doesn't work and I can't recall the name! But, they had business cards for the store at The Black Market. The store might not even exist anymore, things change so quickly there!
At least TO has WAY more vintage stores than here. *sighs* I MUST get to TO soon...
Amen to that! *lol*
It's funny, when I was 13-15 (pic above) I was into the 60s...and ever since have been going backwards in time, in my look. Who knows where I'll end up! Ha ha
Thanks Rue! ;0
Lolly, you should start a thread! I'd love to see others prom/dance photos!

Hi again,
The advert I saw in the magazine was for Pepperbery: http://www.bravissimo.com/pepperberry/
Not sure what their clothes are like, but they're made with 'boobs in mind' as their tag line says! ha ha
Whoops, just realized that this site was already posted by you, Little Lady...
It has happened to me a few times. I don't mind so much when I'm asked if I want to be photographed. Otherwise...it can irritate me. I always wonder, what on earth happens to the photos!? Oh well.
One time a stranger took a photo at an event and I tracked it down online after. It's actually one...
Glad to find this thread and it's been great reading it. I started a sort of related thread last year, Ghosts of the Golden Era, if anyone's interested:

Hi ladies,
Most of my wardrobe is 40s-50s (some early 60s): dresses, blouses and skirts. I have a few older pieces, a 30s dress and beautiful 30s velvet/fur coat (must take a photo). Also a couple of items from the 20s. However, the shape of 20s-30s clothing isn't best for my figure, so I...
I can vouch for Bettie Page dresses, having almost 20 of them. *ha ha* However, I always consult the woman I buy them from as sometimes I take a medium and sometimes a large. Really depends on the dress.
I saw a company at the back of a magazine recently that specialized in dresses for...
The Black Market that shut down on Queen (the one on the same side of the St as Much Music I mean), didn't it open farther down Queen under another name? That's what they told me at the Black Market that's still on Queen (opposite side of St from MM). But I never made it to the new store. Does...
I had no clue she was making a clothing line. I suppose it's about time! ;0
I loved her lingerie line for Wonderbra, though the line was never available here.

Thank you ladies for the links! I've never heard of this idea; amazing. I'll give it a go sometime to see if it works just as well on my naturally curly hair.
Tks again

Danny O,
Please don't cry, you. We'll get you some more Woodford Reserve. Clem will ship it in!
I'm dressed to the 9s, waiting at The Club. Don't leave me alone too long. Like tea, the more I steep..the more bitter I become. ;0
