*lol* Indeed! I've been reading up on this and I'm wrong! Google does own the other sites I mentioned but not FB. I was confused because the COO of FB was formerly the VP of Google.

Definitely one has to be careful. I never clicked anything on FB, nor consented to being used in an ad. Very strange.
Luckily there's no ads in my email either, but I don't use Gmail.
I sometimes miss the FB days! It is an easy way to share photos and such with friends.

Oh don't get me started on facebook and privacy! Hardly anyone realizes that when you upload a photo it becomes their property. Even when you delete your account, they keep your photos in a database. Grrrr. I just say 'be careful what you post.'
