When I was growing up one of my neighbors had three dogs. He adopted each one from the pound. Sometimes I would play fetch with the dogs. One day I was watching two of the dogs play in his fenced-in backyard. The larger dog started nipping at the other dog's neck while they were running...
Lay-Rite - it arrived today. It smells good - I'll have to see how it works over the next few days.
Has anyone tried the water soluble "purple" version of Sweet Georgia Brown?

Yes, he did resize it that much. I was surprised as well. I actually brought the hat in thinking I would just be able to get it cleaned up with a new ribbon. Graham asked if I wanted everything original and then he refurbished it. One thing to keep in mind is that this hat had a...
Thanks for the comments everyone.
barrowjh: I think I remember the Nickel Grey but I'm not 100% sure. I don't remember the Willow Green though. I'm pretty sure I saw a hat in Silvertone - the lighter of they greyish hats. It's somewhat similar to an old Stetson that I own.
The blue...
Edit: Sorry, the title should read "grey" not "gray."
I was in Chicago with my family last month and stopped by Graham's shop. I settled in on the Canadian Grey felt color. I typically do better with a brim no longer than 2 1/2 and a not-so-high crown. This fedora has a bit of a snap brim...

I won this overcoat some time ago. It has a half belt. It also has a pocket with a small Talon zipper on the inside. There are no labels though. It's not super heavy but feels as though it will be very warm.

It includes a lot of pictures...
I carry a "front pocket" money-clip wallet. It's fairly slim. I have a Filofax Mini and I carry that in the inside breast pocket of my jackets. It's about the size of a two-fold wallet and I try to keep the number of insert pages to a minimum.
Ah, I remember that stuff too. It was almost as bad as Shrinky Dinks - plastic sheets which could be colored and decorated and then baked in a toaster oven.

Have you read much on Terror Management Theory?
Some of the interactions in the thread reminded me of some themes I read about a while back in The Denial of Death by Ernest Becker. I actually was cleaning up and found the book and started flipping through it recently and I have also been...
