Me too, the design is just plain cool - I do have the belt with it actually. Just happened to take pics without it initially.

This jacket is very rigid. Not only because of the heavy LW HH, but also the extensive detailing up front - including the 5 pockets and the additional lateral zip. That being said, out of the box, the mobility is not even a concern. I can move around and raise my arms in it just fine and don't feel inhibited at all. The weight is distributed well too, doesn't press down on my neck.

And yes, there's 2 back gusset pockets actually. Each one occupies half of the back. Not sure what I'm gonna use 'em for, but open to suggestions :)

Hi. Sorry if you already said this, but what weight HH did you order? Thanks

Surely there must have been some record of shorts wearing in the golden age. Or did people wear wabash overalls to the beach?
Monty wore them, so did The Desert Fox, in North Africa. 1941. Churchill wore pants.

Looks great! Is that the Type-III or the M-LEI cut? Very interesting with the zipper and buttons.
Thanks. Stock M-LEI ( the boxy one). I asked to add the zipper so it’s easier to zip up but still kept the snaps.

Men didn't wear shorts, shorts were for boys.

I’d argue they are still for boys, unless at the pool, beach, gym or lounging at home.

I’ve spent time in many a desert- same rules apply. Those uniform shorts look ridiculous. This is part of the Max Code. lol

LOL
You see yourself as a boy? I think I've already seen a picture of you in shorts. And why not? If it's warm enough, it's certainly more comfortable than long trousers.
Everyone should do as they like.
I made my statement in past tense as we were discussing whether men wore shorts back in the days. I never said I don't wear short or that men shouldn't wear shorts in general.

I wear shorts when on holiday to some warm climate country. But only during daytime, not when going out for dinner. And never on formal occasions of course.

@ton312 I know you love these loafers lol.
