Raised on a ranch where my favorite hat was a wide brim open crown Bailey adorned with rattlesnake rattles. It saw lots of saddle time on an open range ranch in Idaho. From buckaroo to academia to high tech, I’m now retired from a daily grind and am an avid fly fisherman and occasional guide on my local rivers here in Montana. On my quest for the perfect fly fishing hat I collect and occasionally flip hats.
