G'd day mates! "Now it's a beautiful day, the postman delivered ...", no, not a letter from your lover but a package from OZ. With my new Akubra Cattleman plus a roo leather stampede string.
Looks great and feels great.
Some days ago I bought a cheap Trilby hat, "Blues Brothers" style, at villagehats. Since it is really a quite cheap hat, I wanted to pimp that hat by inserting a lining. I bought some golden satin and did some sewing this afternoon. I guess, it doesn't look that bad now. What do you think?
My answer is a picture, taken 1925, showing my grandpa and some friends. My Grandpa is the gentleman on the left, with the Homburg hat and the black coat with propably velvet collar. They are taking a cure in German spa Bad Lippspringe. My Grandpa was suffering from a lung disease. Alle these...
I'd love to have a Breitling Navitimer, but since I cannot afford one, I bought a nice Casio Edifice. It is no copy so it can be carried without being ashamed. And - it's a man's wrist watch.

I'm not so sure whether this is right.
I've been searching through literally hundreds of photographs - every Cowboy's "Boss of the plains" or other hat was bashed.
But it is true: the Boss of the Plains was not formed in factory. The owner shaped crown und rim according to his personal wishes...
My father was a "Hat-Man", he had some fifty hats.
But never did he wear a "Tirolerhut", he considered them to be "tasteless".
As a "sports hat" he used to wear straw hats (mostly Panamas), Trilbies or Pork Pies,
I miss - typewriters. Writing with a computer is nice and easy, but it has no 'magic'.
And I miss - Fanzines. Whether cheaply printed, photocopied or even carbon copied, I love Fanzines. Or loved - since they are gone.
All those websites, weblogs and internet discussion boards are great and...
