Another fun little Goodwill project today. This one came in today needing some tender loving care... a 10x straw gambler looking stetson something or other that had one side bent up like an Aussie Slouch hat and multiple creases and folds in the brim. Crown was pretty clean fortunately. ( and it...
Have some storms rumbling in this morning.... Akubra time! This ones a Sidewinder in a light green ( the pic with the shirt is close to the real color... dont know why the others came out more grey?)
I concur on the western conversions! (particularly the fur felt ones) Ive done a few and they all are great rough weather hats. They wear well, handle water well, and all seem to be getting softer and more comfortable with time.
Did a little brim work on the "Coal Shovel" hat today
Did some brim curling and reblocked the crown away from the cattlemans crease. Temporarily threw on a couple hatbands I hade hangng around just so it looks a bit more finished. I do believe it looks a bit more civilized now. Just need a...

The new Stetson 3x is shaping up nicely. Got a few stains out yesterday, did a little steaming, and did some time working on the crown and brim. Nice little lid

The other...
Got an Ebay two-fer today... one a cheap little wool Cavendar's western project hat. (Beaver Brand or Master Hatters of Texas maybe?) Kinda reminds me of a big coal shovel lol. Doing a curl job on it for a buddy
The other is actually a nice little Stetson 3x . Im guessing from 60's? Once...

And a grand Easter Sunday to all! Today its one of my favorite roadworn hats. A pale green 3x Stetson with weathered rose ribbon. Lots of mileage on this little lid but I love it.
Grey dull sky with rain expected .... Lets brighten up the morning! A nice loud shirt and a silverbelly should do the trick. This one a nice 2-3/4" flat brim 4x Open Road. This little hat gets worn a lot and Im thinkng it need a good cleaning soon
