Among the Schott classics (613, 613S, 118, 141, 641...) I own, the style is not really taperred with one exception : i have a vintage 615 (from the 80s ou 90s) size 38 that is very tappered, with wide shoulders and a very narrow waist, so much that it is almoste inconfortable to wear closed !
Aero Leather jackets have always left me unsatisfied for one reason or another. I would love to love them, their extensive catalogue makes me want many of them, but there is always something not quite right.
I have never owned a CXLHH, i have seen one (barnstormer) in person in a shop in Paris...
As long as the panel is in a "hidden" place (under the arm) and that the stitches are robust, you're fine. The grain will become more even with wears, so put it on and enjoy it. Congratulations for your buy !
I remeber seeing a 1984 picture of the american director David Lynch wearing a Schott Flight Jacket with an exterior tag like this one (on the set of "Dune" in Mexico). So I suppose these it was also availabe in Noth America ?
I've never seen a fake Aero or Vanson, at least not on the european market of ebay/vinted. I've sometimes seen jackets abusively indicated as Lewis Leather, but is more misnamed jackets on sales website than "fake" jackets.

Great fit, although a little tight in the back when closed. You can adjust it.
The 141 is made of an incredible naked cowhide leather, which gains grain and personality super fast. Very easy to break. The back panel is an amazing beauty ! Best smelling leather jacket I own, too...
The 141 is...
Thank you for the searching.
Are you sure it is the same jacket ?
It seems that this "rn 18606" reference is used for many different jackets. made of different materials...
It seems to me that it is more a general brand identification than jacket identity.
For instance, the brown 626 that is...
Just received my Valstar A1 suede sandal (=rust) "Valstarino" jacket, that they produced since the 1930s.
The tag informs that the leather is from India, but according to the blurb on Valstar website, it is tanned and treated in Italy, and the jacket is made in Milan.
It is the "light" version...
The inside tag, the inside pockets (especialy the "Zippo" one) and the absence of the "made in USA" tag make me think that it is a european licensed Schott jacket, typicaly made in Asia and of inferior quality compared to the real USA line. On the second hand market in France (where they were...
It is not always noted, but Benicio del Toro wears proeminently a black MA1 jacket in "The Hunted" action thriller by Bill Friedkin, even on the poster of the movie.
