That's carbon grey? Is it really that light? The carbon grey in their website looks a lot darker... or is it because of the flash?

Clear as mud. No, kidding, actually, it is quite clear. Hints of both, depending on the lighting etc (which was exactly what I thought I was seeing in your pic).
Very nice, I need a Fed IV, now the difficult part will be to pick a color! (I think this is out front right now, I have SOOO many brown hats, and multiple in light gray, nothing yet quite like this.
