Teens-20s French bell curve Top hat size 7 w/ box

Amazing! That's all there is to say about this top hat. Absolutely stunning bell curve top hat from the teens-1920s or maybe even earlier. I have no way to date it. "Beaver" finish (long hair) and silky smooth. With just a tiny bit of rubbing at a small part of the top edge and some wear to the underside brim cover, this is wearable "as is". A real gem to go to someone else's collection. It fits like a 7 and is unmarked for size. An added extra bonus, it comes with the original box from the store that sold it. The box is a bit shabby but is fully functional.

Hmmmmmm . . . I have a beautiful topper I got from Garrett a while back that needs restoration, which fits perfectly and is from the same era. And restoraion will probaby cost the same as purchasing that hat. What a quandary.

That hat for some reason just screams to me, "roulette wheel" due to that brim work being so fantastic.

Believe me, dhermann1, it is a real heartbreaker to sell it. It is absolutely gorgeous, but I never wear it. In 2 years of owning it, I've never worn the thing. I'm trying to clear out all such things at the moment, so out to market this goes.
