Gustin is trash: Sent me the wrong size and refused to refund

I recently got a pair of 1968 jeans of size 33 from Gustin. On their website, it says the waist size would be 33.5 inch. However, they sent me a pair of jeans that measured 32.2 inch on the waist and I could not put them on. When I brought it up with Gustin, they helped me return it, but then told me the jeans actually measures correctly and would only give me partial store credit.

I get how jeans QC is not the easiest thing, and I would have been happy if they just refund me. Telling me my eyes are wrong, however, is something I do not appreciate. I cannot recommend anyone to buy from them.

I’m sorry to hear that, bad service to be sure.
I’ve ordered a number of things from them over the years and like @Guppy I‘ve found their sizing inconsistent. They do make some really nice things for the price if you know what to look for. Their leather bags and duffels are first class and great value for the price.

New jeans usually fit pretty tight in the waist when new. If they fit perfectly when new, they'd be falling off you once they break in a bit. I personally don't find the sizing off enough to expect a full refund. They aren't made of leather, they're cotton and will stretch a bit.

I've no doubt they don't fit you though. I'm a pretty standard 32 in jeans and I've bought 32, 33, and 34 in Gustin jeans. I could button the waist (though it took some work), but the cut was just too slim for me and I'm not a big guy and always bought the straight fit.

I agree that sizing off is normal (although more than a inch is pretty bad among good denim brands in my experience). What pisses me off is they are trying to tell me the sizing is all good and would not refund me

My gustin stuff has always been ok,,it could have been worse, you could have shelled out for lawless..remember them?

Now there’s a blast from the past.

I like Gustin but only for their jeans. Even then, I’ve had a couple that were wildly too small over the years. They should at least offer to take them back for credit. That’s what they’ve always done for me. Good luck!

I have a few of their offerings and agree that the sizing is all over the place.
The quality/price ratio is good though, not crazy good but definitely fair.
