Another flight jacket query...

Greetings all!

I'm back with another query for the knowledgeable folks here at the 'lounge...

Does anyone know what type of jacket David Niven was wearing in "Stairway To Heaven"? I saw the film years and years ago and I can't remember any real details, nor can I find it on DVD or video (just as well 'cos me video ain't hooked up).

Is that the film where David Niven is a RAF bomber pilot nursing home a stricken Lancaster alone? If so - it's an 'Irvin' jacket.
