I do believe this reb_bel account is a reseller posting all kinds of items listed on Chinese second-hand trading platform Xianyu or Chinese heritage brands on Taobao.

My friend is selling his pair of Role Club Underdogs on Xianyu and reb_bel just "sells" my friend's pair on his instagram without asking consent of my friend.

This elaborate cuff is also my favorite. I have yet to figure out how the exact mechanics behind it but something tells me the jeans need to be 10 inches too long for it to work.

I've actually put this second cuff on my recent pair of Mister Freedom jeans. The reason is that they are too long and I don't want to go out and get them hemmed right now. COVID is spiking here again so I'm not about to go out and do that. When I feel more comfortable, I will get them hemmed and do a cuff I like more. I don't think it looks terrible, but I do prefer a simple single or double cuff.

That's what they do with selvedge denim. The rough edge is on the inside of the legs. The fancy side outside.

I was under the impression that changed with different brands.
I remember reading that Wranglers claim to fame was that the folded seam was on the outside of the leg instead of the traditional inside of the leg to prevent chaffing when horse riding.

^agreed. No two brands are the same although the stitching used on standard Levi’s, which I think is what Mike posted, is the most common.

These are the two exterior seams. In most makes (probably owing to the universality of Levi’s) the smooth seem (using the edge price of the denim - in this case selvedge) is on the outside, whereas Wrangler made a big deal of putting it on the inside for cowboys.

with selvedge it is obvious the outseam is straight vertical and the clean edge, the inner seam is usually single felled the dirty edge probably for more ease in tapering the leg when needed, when the seam is double felled like your example then the pants can not be easily tapered,
also on the upper leg near the hip the outseam is tapered toward the waist (you see a line of top stitch run below the pocket until mid thigh) probably double felled outseam would make this tapered hip area too bulky.

perhaps when the outseam is not vertical straight the pants loses its jeans silhouette, and perhaps even creases differently than typical jeans, perhaps looking more chino than jeans in its leg shape, just my guessing

Old Levi’s (selvedge) have always had the rough non folded single stitched inseam. Many repros are like that and they are far from cheap as you know.

To be honest this is something that has never bothered me and probably never will

Btw jeans with a double felled outseam (like wrangler) never develop any train tracks. I think it’s the only fade a care about.

Honest question - Since IG began spamming me with countless denim accounts, I've noticed a curious pattern where you've got these same looking middle-aged guys with beards, dressed mostly in bland looking denim, striking a pose of touching their jeans cuffs while there's always a disgusting looking, colorful sock sticking out. Some even take pictures without shoes!

It's always the same thing, dude standing somewhere outside, lurched over, touching the cuff (they're not doing anything with it, I mean, what can you do with a jeans cuff!?), there's that horrid sock and some kinda uninspired lace up, which got me to wonder... Is that a fetish of some sort? Like the gay leather stuff? Or am I missing something?

I quite like Norwegian knit pattern style socks. I think Anonymous ism and Chups, both from Japan came out with them like five years ago.
Five years ago was also, when I started to see this pics of somebody showing off these socks together with the RW or Viberg boots and some selvedge jeans. Whoever came up with it first, it was pretty cool.
But I'm surprised, that it's still going strong and many find pleasure at taking more or less the same picture again and again and equally apparently lots of people enjoying looking at several of these pics every day.
But then there is probably always a little detail different, so that it doesn't get boring.
Boot porn, leather jacket porn, denim porn- same, same, but different.

I could wear them with slippah (flip flops).
I rarely wear long pants, only shorts, and never wear shoes, only slippah. For some reason when I do put on a pair of jeans I have to cuff them when wearing slippah, don't know why.
