Hi

Several of those hats would be great for hunting in many conditions. I would NOT buy the less expensive Wool ones, but I know that several Western hatters make a camouflage Fur Felt hat. If I actually had time to hunt, I'd own one. It would be similar to buying an olive drab, brown, tan, or silver-belly hat to beat around the bush in.

I like this Major Moore made hat a lot better.

Anyone interested in those hats or the less wild colors the same sellers is selling should be careful about sizing. I contacted the seller and the measurements quoted to me were not correct for a size 7 3/4 (seller stated 23 1/4" circumference)

I picked "No" but, admittedly, I would probably would have selected said yes if I hunted.

+1 I haven't been hunting in about 2 decades so, no. If I still did or returned to it at some point, maybe. I'd probably just wear a dark brown or dark grey or maybe a Bluegrass Green Camp Draft or..........ah still no.

Ummm ... My initial response is yup on the overall style of the hat, and nope on the acid-trip felt colors.

But I could see myself getting used to it. There's apparently a market for these things, as I've seen similarly multi-hued hats here and there. Hat makers, the large and the small and those in between, are doing lots of stuff these days to make their hats stand out. Westerns in particular can be all blinged out.

Fun. Different. Unusual. On the street with cargo shorts or pants. And in the field with the same. (With or w/o camo.)
