WW2 Irvin Flying Jacket

I have recently bought this WW2 Irvin, just waiting for it to arrive in the post.
The jacket features an interesting label with incorrect chest and waist sizes for a size 3.
The label also has it’s reference number crossed out and the correct number pencilled in.
I have seen photographs of another similar multi-panel Irvin with the same type of label attached.
I wonder if anyone knows more about these labels?
The images are from the sale, I won’t be keeping the jacket on a hanger as I have been told it could damage the sheepskin.
I will also be looking to have the broken sleeve zips replaced with working originals and have found someone able to carry out the work.
