Greetings, I have a Sam Walker Highwayman size 44 I would like to trade. I am interested in something which is warm and offers more freedom of movement, say shearling and/or goatskin with biswing/gussets. I'm not crazy about the large armhole design of the highwayman which restricts outward and upward arm movement. Maybe an Irvin, B3, LHB?
Sizes:
pit to pit: 25"
shoulders: 22"
shoulder to cuff: 25"
base collar to bottom: 25"
I am 6', 195lbs, a 44, and the jacket fits well with plenty of room for sweaters and bigger stomachs. It is a substantial jacket at nearly 8 lbs. of horsehide and is pretty well broken in.
For features, color and condition refer to the pics and feel free to ask me for more information.
Here is a note from the person I bought from, describing its history:
Sam Walker is a shop in Covent
Garden London, that used to sell quality classic clothing not trendy crap.
they sold a lot of second hand aero leather jackets and there own brand aswell
as hats shoes and other repro vintage clothing. They would let you tade
an aero or sam walker jacket and take a fair chunk of change off of a new
one. I think they sold the used jackets easier beause the wear on these jackets
makes them. I traded an aero leather highwayman to get the mark up price
a bit less (500 pounds) to get that jacket. It is definetely heavier horsehide
than ususal. i was told by the shop owner that it was same as aero. i.e aero
made them for the shop?
I'm glad you like it. It took me boody ages to break it in.
