I have been trying to find a decent vintage wool Donkey Jacket with leather shoulders (not the later PVC). Needs to be in good nick and fit a 42/44 chest, if any sees one in a vintage store please let me know, cheers.

Cheers, not tweed jackets (their shoulders are for shooters), a traditional Donkey jacket looks like a single-breasted pea-coat and worn by British workers since late Victorian times.

May I ask, is this for a production of My Fair Lady (Stanley Holloway as Alfred P Doolittle) or a 1970s/80s bootboy look?

Neither! I found an old one with the pvc patches in a charity shop and it has been so warm and comfortable that I'd like the older version; they are an iconic item of British workwear, I notice the Japs are wearing them, there's even a Lewis Leathers version and a LVC but at silly prices and not 100% authentic.

yep, mine has the pvc shoulders but as it's a Parks Dept coat it's strong, and cost £5.00!! The ones with leather should date from pre-1960's.
