Hello, I've always wanted a brown fur (or dark) irvin jacket,
1942 pattern, with the longer hairs on the body pannels. size 5.
I missed out the one on ebay this week… thanks

I might be tempted...

I have a pre-war four panel, long hair, original (with label) Irvin (eg: The actual Irvin Company). Basically the same as the 1942.
It's safely away right now (for the Summer) but is around a size 5 (though pre-wars tended to have chest size, which this one's around a 42").
Great condition, original retainer strap at back of collar and lovely Dot Zips on all. No tears or punctures, as the sheepskin is in 'great' condition. This is a 'wearer' of a jacket, it really is.

PM me and let me know just what you're after and your budget...etc.

Was it by any chance the superb size 5 jacket by D.G.Ltd?

Andrew...you do realise that 'The Priory' has a new RAF flying jacket Rehab Unit now..? ;)

very nice indeed!

Hello Paddy, thanks for your reply.
yes, your jacket looks very nice.

I must say the jacket I'm looking for is one with dark fur.
(Maybe from black sheep?).

Though this one really looks nice.

I am 5,11 (1,82 m) tall.
I now have a 42" eastman replica now, which fits fine.

How much would you sell it for?

Yes, Andrew, exactly, it looked really great, but the highest bidder went beyond my highest bid, and who knows hwo much further…

I think I've seen a photo of yorself somewhere wearing a dark fur one…

If you're after 'black wool' then you'll probably be paying BIG bucks (as they are more rare - but yes, Andrew can be seen sporting a lovely one).

Once you get up to 15 posts (real easy, just post a few little comments complimenting folk's hats and jackets..."NICE hat!" and you'll get there in no time), then PM (Private Message) me, and we'll talk

Kindest Regards, Paddy.

I'm afraid the high bidder was me! I collected the jacket today. I have fixed the main zip-an easy job just a bit of squeezing of the slider! I also own a black sheep Irvin and there are pics of it on the old Irvin Nuts thread on this site. I'm sure if you keep looking you will land yourself the Irvin of your dreams. Good luck.
