Hi all, I recently joined the forum and from what I gather, a lot of you are knowledgeable about the leather jacket market, brands, successes and issues. Thanks for creating this space.

Currently I'm on the hunt for my next jacket. I already own a 60s brooks cafe racer (a tiny bit big) and that is my fall/winter/spring hiking adventures jacket since I wear layers. Thus, I need a "nicer" one to be my go to for nice outings (whenever that may be possible again).

For that, I've settled on the black Jean Shop NYC leather jacket in size small OR a really nice Aero Board Racer in size 36. I'm a little on the smaller size, no pun intended, and, unlike my Brooks, I need the jacket length to be at my belt not past.

Any help is appreciated and any advice will be acknowledged. Thanks!

Welcome to the Fedora Lounge! There is a really nice Schott of a differnet type in a Size Small for sale right now. I wish it was my size, I would snatch it up quickly if it were to fit.

Thanks for this suggestion Aerofan! I'm actually his close measurements but 5'7 instead of 5'11 so I fear, like my current jacket, it may be bigger than what I am looking.

I appreciate it

Hi there, thanks for letting me know! Do you have any pictures and measurements if possible?

Hi. Yes, this is for sale. Still trying to dial in my size. Bought the Small and it was too small. Managed to find a Large and it was too large. Ugh. These are really great jackets though. Well-made with an original retail of $2,500.

Looking some pics. In the meantime, let me know if these measurements might work for you:

The Jean Shop (S)

Shoulder-to-shoulder: 17”
Pit-to-pit: 21.5”
BOC 24” (TOC 25.5”) from front 27.5”
Sleeves 25”

Thanks!

Hi,

i am also looking for the Jean Shop leather jacket. I think Size S should be perfect - a bit confused about the measurements of the mediums chest (pit to pit), which seem to be smaller than size s:

Vs.

Shoulders backside 18"
Chest at armpit 20.5"
lower collar to hem front 21 1/4
lower collar to hem backside 23 3/4
Sleeve 25 to 25 1/2 hard to measure here
hem 20.5"

Is the Medium still available?

Thank you!
