What do you know of Worth & Worth hats? Been around since 1922, and still offering new hats. The website says their fedoras are made in a small Italian village on the Cervo, and it shows a picture of a factory featuring the Cervo name.

Anybody got one - or more - of them?

Cervo is the name of the company in Biella Italy that manufacturers the Barbisio hat . I have a few of them . They will always be in the shadow of Borsalino hats . They make nice hats ,but not many people sell them here in the States .If you find one ,you will like it . Very light in weight .

I have had a few of their hats, and if you do a search on the lounge you will find more info. Some of the lower end felt on the market is what they use. Their hats droop in the rain and the felt cracks easily when compared to modern Stetson or Akubra. The leather they use is also close to cardboard and is very stiff. They could do better though I don't understand why they do not.

Their felt has a chalky feel and just wears out fast.

There are grades in Cervos, like most other hats. I'd avoid the low end. I bought a "Cortina" for around $165 from Worth and Worth about 5 years ago. The leather in the sweatband is soft, the lining is sewen in. The felt is not a bad quality, but it isn't the greatest either. Because it is so so light, it is easy to distort the shape, and getting the brim right has been a constant trial with my long oval head. I keep trying because its a very unusal charcoal blue grey color. I'd say if you have an average head shape, you like the block it comes with and you stay away from the cheaper end, you'd be ok. Vintage is better value.
