Does anyone have any experience with these jackets? They can quite often be picked up fairly cheaply on British ebay and I quite like the punky style. I'm afraid they may not match up to the solid non-Lewis British names such as Rivetts, Mascot and TT leathers though. Thanks for any help you guys can offer....

Here's some examples:

Made in Essex, they date from the late 1960s.
Just down the road to me in Leigh on Sea, they have been making jackets first in Canvey(I think) they moved to Leigh some time back and come under the name of Harpers Motorcycle Apparel.
Nowdays they concentrate on what some of you lot refer to as Power Ranger leathers, that is us sports bike riders haha. They do a made to measure service at very reasonable prices.
Wolf jackets often turn up in charity shops and car boot sales, are usually priced well under £100 and are not bad for the price. I'd say skip eBay and check out these sort of places to save yourself a packet.
The first jacket is probably 1970s with the second a mid 1980s version.

Used to see a lot of these up Camden way a decade ago or so when I spent much time there. Rugged, hard-wearing biker leathers. More modern and a touch less stylish than a Lewis, but also considerably tougher than a vintage Lewis too.
