N1 is a great style! I love mine, and for chilly mornings it lives in my car. For colder weather, I have an N3-b.

If you are like me and don’t tolerate cold very well then a Woolrich Artic Parka imho is one of the best options.

For me the N1 is ok down to 5C but below not warm enough. Ciao ;)

Per me l'N1 va bene fino a 5 ° C ma sotto non abbastanza caldo. Ciao ;)[/ QUOTE]

as a parka I have a Patagonia Frozen range, I thought a deck jacket was warmer

In these temperature range i wear my LW B-2.
It has a great alpaca lining, and is cut in a way that allows you to really layer with it.

Sure, where I am located, US Midwest, we see temps as low as -35C/-28F on occassion. Majority of winter closer to -18 - -3C/ 10F to 30F. I run warmer than average, so down and even wool coats are kept for under 10F/-12C. We also get a lot of wind during the winter, which brings in the windchill factor. Any standard leather with a sweatshirt could be enough, but the lack of flexibiltiy in cold temps ususally has me seeking out cloth options.

I usually just layer with my regular leather jackets when I go to sctuwk cold places, but an N1 is a good option. I'd also suggest looking at something like a b10 or b15 jacket. Different style of jacket.

Questo parka sarà abbastanza caldo?

Hi. I'm not familiar with this specific parka but yes, it seems this will be really warm - plus it is long enough to cover your butt.

For Winter jackets, I have a LW B3 and an ELC Irvin. Long term, I also have my eye on an Aero Redskin B3, B6, an Aero Wilderness, and a blanket-lined Barnstormer (for over a suit / blazer, ideally a few inches longer than standard if possible).

Always liked the B2, though they're rarely reproduced: I rather suspect that they don't get the same love as the B3 simply because they weren't used in WW2, ergo there are no romanticised WW2 pictures with Steve Macqueen or the likes wearing one. LW and Buzz are the only ones I've ever seen (probably one or two other Japanese labels do them too). I remember hearing once someone had asked Ken at Aero if he'd do one, but he reckoned there was no market for them - only the Japanese were interested. A shame... for me, they're probably a touch more practical than a shearling given less likely for the outer shell to be fragile. I so also have my eye on an Aero Thunderbay - funnily enough, I was sort of speccing out a shearling lined HWM when that one came on the market.

This side of a lotterly win it'll be a while before I buy all of those. That said, if we hit a jackpot win, I'd be on a train to Galashiels right behind an email simply stating "one of everything, please, and I'm on my way to be measured..... Then it'd be off to Lewis for my Lightning.... :D

It's nice to dream.
