this needs its own thread?
I wondered the very same.
Yet, I was afraid it might get lost in the shuffle otherwise.

I did not mean to breach some hitherto unknown proprietary territory nor violate an unwritten "suitability" standard for thread worthiness.
Please forgive me.

I believed gaining insight on collecting was TFL's reason for being. [huh]
Perhaps you might be so very good as to suggest a more appropriate venue for my interrogatory, knowing that I'd be grateful.

Elsewise, I may just fall back to a Tilley heathered mix wool winter number ( 2 3/4" back, 2 5/8" front & 2 1/8" sides, it be swoopin' nice!, though kinda L.A.C. [low-arsed crown]).

I was simply hoping someone out there in TV-land might have an insight or lead on such a hat, is all.

I too am looking for wide-brimmed tweed hats. Fedoras or homburgs to be precise, tweed and with a non-dimensional brim of at least 2.5". Tilly makes a dimensional brim tweed fedora. In addition to the dimensional brim, they've also treated the hat with a rain-repeller - another aspect that I don't think I want. All other tweed fedoras/homburgs I can find have a stingy brim. So anyone know of any source for what I'm looking for?
