'Frock'!

While there wasn't an actual page for 'Sweaters, the use of' in King's Regulations, obviously many guys chose to wear them in unheated cockpits

The real-authentic-ohmyGodyougotoneof'em sweater would be the 'frock'. Stores Ref. Number 22G/63. Natural coloured wool, long in the body (to cover your butt), and having a high, non-turtleneck collar.

While many repros are out there that tend to cover both the Navy and Aircrew look, the original frock looks like this:

Paddy was looking for a pattern for it, I'm hoping he is successful so WE CAN ALL GET ONE :D

Looks pretty proper:

I Really like this photo. I notice that tonight, Tuesday 14 Dec 2021, there is a programme on Freeview Channel 32, Smithsonian about HMS Trenchant, A Royal Navy Submarine, I suspect that it may have been on Channel 5 a few months ago and is quite recent. I think these photos may have been taken in connection with that Programme as there is a similar picture in the Radio Times TV Guide of this week. I shall watch or record it. It did show some of the crew wearing the white sub roll necks.

Hello. If anyone owns the Outdoor Knitwear Submariner sweater in size M or L, could you please measure pit to pit? Want to pick it up, but worried about the sizing

Bought both XS and S sizes of the OK submariner. Which one should I keep? (first 2 pictures show XS size)

I thought I had answered this question this morning, but I don't see that it got posted. Keep the Small; it is a better fit.
Yep, decided to post it here as well, just in case
The Small does look a more comfortable fit; it also allows for a bit of growth over the festive season! I vote for the S
Thank you!

Could you guys check one last time? I feel like the XS size stretched a bit while wearing it briefly indoors (the sleeves are on the shorter side but I can "extend" them at the bottom, if that makes sense)

I still think you are much safer with the S!
