Actually, my JCPenney Marathon Supreme Felt (still the nicest felt hat I have) looks just like a Whippet. I think it was actually their version of the Stetson but it was actually better quality and I got it from Tom here on the forum.

A few months ago I let a Whippet slip through my hands. It was on Ebay, and needed work, but it was a BIN at $75.00 and, at that moment being financially embarrassed, I couldn't pull the trigger.

I won't have many regrets on my death-bed. But among those that I do, the seventy-five buck Whippet will be one of them.

I think the Whippet and Playboy are two of the nicest casual hats Stetson ever came out with. The Strat and Open Road are great hats too but I just love the Whippet and Playboy.

Yeah, I got what I think is a Whippet bearing the Shudde Bros brand & I recall it having been stated that Stetson provided Shudde w/ their house brands.

There was a beautiful silver/blue Playboy 7 1/8 on Ebay today that went for a little over $80.00. I couldn't believe it. The 7 3/8 went for over $200 a couple of weeks ago. I almost bought the one today to see if I could resell it.
