Which hat is that?

Hey guys I am new around here and am also new to collecting vintage hats. I have seen many good examples around here of what I am looking for, but the hat that I really like is the one that the guy in the Fedora Lounge link is wearing. It has a tall crown and what looks to be a short brim, but doesn't quite look like a stingy. Any help?

Welcome to the Lounge!!!

I am sure any # of the members here came put you on the right track.
If you are new to hat wearing, one of the less expensive models may be the best bet for you. at least till you are sure of the style hat you like.
Again welcome and good luck on your search... :)

It's a great silhouette, isn't it? You could get that look with a 5 3/4" open crown height, and a 2 5/8" or so brim, and a "c crown" bash. Looks like a thin ribbon (9 ligne?), but I like 16 ligne or more, personally.

P.S.

I think you could hit close with this Akubra.
Its the Stylemaster, run a search here and you can find alot of info on it.

Thanks guys. So its not a specific hat. I just need a hat with those specs? Also can you point me to a picture of a C crown? I have seen the diamond and teardrop in a post by Matt Deckard recently, but have yet to see a C crown. Thanks again. And yea, its a great silhouette.

Will do RBH

Welcome to the Lounge! Gonesolo, if i'm correct on this a teardrop crown is another name for a c-crown.

The Stylemaster is not going to get you that look. Its crown is very tapered. I know, I own one.

A "teardrop" is a "c-crown". From the top, with the pinches in the front, the hat has the shape of a drop of water.
