Where to find short sweaters and short full-zip wool jackets?

So, I've been searching for quite some time and am coming up short. Or rather, not short enough:D

I understand the functionality of a long-ish wool coat which covers more, for warmth. But I'm looking for something different.

In sweaters, it seems a lot of makers are cutting them long, and many have a baggy fit. To me, it looks sloppy, and I don't like the look when it's longer than my leather jackets (Vanson Model B / Vanson C2 / Vanson Model F).

It finally occurred to me, to just ask on this forum, with so many knowledgeable and stylish folks on here, somebody likely knows...
Who sells a shorter sweater, not designed to be a baggy fit, wool or otherwise? Something approximately at the belt line, or even a tad above.

Shorter wool full zips have been hard to find also. Looked at vintage ones on eBay, a lot of them are 28" long or more. Anyone know how to score a sweater, or wool full-zip jacket in size L / 42?

I recently got a black 30oz melton wool jacket from sugar cane sc15404

Double check sizing they run big. I got a 38 and I’m a 41 chest and wear 40 or 42 in aero, rmc or rainbow country.

I'm 5'9 and prefer shorter sweaters as well (25 - 27-inches long is my preference). I always check (or ask for) the length measurement.

I don't care for baggy, but I don't like them tight either. Not a thin merino wool or cashmere guy either; I like them heavier and with a bit of texture.

I bought this one from Aero. Liked it so much (and the length was perfect), that I bought the Cream Submariner version as well. I'm a Medium, but the length for the Large is 26.5 inches.

Aero seems to make shorter sweaters, but they aren't cheap. I've bought most of sweaters 2nd hand. Easy to get measurements and the sweaters I like are very durable, so 2nd hand is just fine.

I have a sweater from Bronson as well - most of their knitwear is shorter. The pics on the Bronson site always look a bit baggy, but they feature thin Asian dudes. I'm a pretty solid 40 and have this sweater in a size 38. The length of the size 42 is 26-inches.

I don't have any sweaters from them, but Olderbest also offers shorter sweaters. Might not be your style though.

Many of us in the Wooly Pully thread have been happy with Outdoor Knitwear. I have several of their sweaters, and they are a quality product. Not as thick as they were in the 70s, but still good quality and warm. https://outdoorknitwear.com/en/.

They are not long in the body, but hit right about, or below, the belt line–at least for me,

Aeros "Eton Collared" Jumpoers are pretty cropped, IMO. Also, I find Buzz Ricksons standard sweatshirts to run pretty short in the torso unless you size up one.

I also have 4-5 sweaters from SNS Herning that run shorter. Apparently, their first-generation sweaters were pretty long, but the ones I have are about 26-inches in a Medium. They fit trim with a very tight weave - they are warm without being bulky, so they can be worn easily under a leather jacket.
