I received a Mark Christopher Collection hat rack from Amazon today. While mine holds three hats, they make a 4 and a 5 hat variants. I like it! Of course I'll hopefully be putting the felt hats into storage soon and will place my summer straw hats here soon. <fingers crossed>

I have a pegboard that has hat holders attached to it. The image I attached is for slat-board, but mine are two pronged to go into the pegboard. For the car, I LOVE the Hatrider. I was shocked at how well it works for me. I've used it for Western, Fedoras, wide brim.. you name it. I can't recommend it highly enough!!

Are hat racks a good option for hats in regular use or will they deform the brim or crown? Looking at hat stand for dresser vs wall mount dresser where brim holds hat.

Thanks

I’ll take a stab at answering this question a tad less flippantly, though it’s now a year later.

I think so long as the hat rack has the right kind (shape) of hooks, you should be fine. I don’t think any of my hats have been harmed here.

Regarding your links, Hat stands are great, but can get expensive if you need many. The U type of rack might be fine for many western hats but overall I think it depends on the type of hat/brim.

My other storage methods are these:

You need to rearrange again, my friend!

Well, downstairs near the garage exit has already been rearranged, and R2 has been replaced by this:

That said, I had let Mrs Aahzz list R2 for sale (she runs an Ebay business). Now that I think about it, he'll still work perfectly upstairs in my office/recording studio where he can continue to wear my old Derby :). Now I just hope he doesn't sell before she can get home today and delist him!!
