When the seer has been sucked out??

Ladies, quick! I have a vintage seersucker skirt, black with white scotties all over. I want to wear it for church tomorrow~ but the seersucker fabric has seen better days, the indentions are really not there any more. Should I just iron it flat? Will that work? It looks stupid as is.

If you have the time spray it with water in a small patch and see if that brings the seersucker back as it dries, just lightly first. Otherwise I think ironing it out would be your only option. It sounds cute.

Thanks Goldwyn, that worked pretty well! Still not *real* crisp but at least you can tell it's seersucker again. You had also mentioned to mix in a tiny bit of starch and I think that would work as well!
Here's the skirt! I'll hafta get a closeup of the fabric.
