Old Shoe?

I believe I remember seeing the all leather heal in the 60's and into early 70's. I seem to remember a dovetail type rubber heal corner about that time, sort of about only a 3rd of the heal before the switch to a all rubber heal, but I may be mistaken. Was not really my thing at the time, but it was a sign of some note even then. I will have to try and do some research as I am also interested in the shoes as I have a small collection of the "V" cleats. There was some differences in the long wings as to the peak on the toe cap as to how long it was in some time frames, I'll try to find the info again. They did make the same model shoes for a extremely long time though. As for the hand writing are you referring to printed gold script or actual hand inked reference numbers?
heres a link to the factory history page:

check out 1966 page.
Not much info on individual shoe descriptions but interesting just the same.

l emailed Florsheim and asked them questions about all of this. They told me the `v cleat all leather heal' shoes were last made in 1993.

They said my Florsheim `v cleats' were around 1993.

l suspected that my pair weren't as old as originally thought because my storm welt is very plane looking, it doesn't have the original serations along the top. The old 50's models had the sizing and catelogue info hand written on the insides of the shoo; the newer models had it printed by a device.
