Hey guys,
A couple of leather jackets are coming down the pike over at SJC.
Here's your chance to weigh in on which style of brown hide you prefer.
Black is already a go, so choose your brown!
Cheers.

I personally would love to have one of each, but I tend to like a brown with hint of red, just to give it some depth.

darker brown that would age lighter are common, why not tan that would age darker :)

pairing it with a new jeans that starts off dark, and then as the jeans fade the jacket darkens, sounds like an interesting journey to me

Horween's chromexcel brown used by Aero in its jackets. I have it in the Thunderbay and the Sheene and love it for its dark rich color.

+1. My Teamster is made from Horween's chromexcel brown FQHH that is IMO reddish brown in appearance and has a rich, luxurious look and feel that is hard to put into words.

Personally, I've found that as brown FQHH breaks in, the reddy tones come through. I wonder whether what we're seeing in the poll is cross-over between dark and reddy options in terms of how people think about Horween's brown FQHH.

I loved the almost cordovan shade of the Highwayman I owned (pay no attention to the fit!). This is the "reddish brown" I have in mind. image.jpg

I voted for russet as it's my current favorite jacket but I like having one in dark also, just not too dark so that it looks black. I guess most would call it seal, as opposed to dark seal. That's the difficulty in differentiating between names, as even with the Vincenza we have seen that hide colors aren't always consistent, both between different batches and between different hides within the same batch.
