What's the difference....

I have a Royal Stetson, (seen in my avatar pic), that's the same dimensions as as a Stetson Stratoliner....yet my hat is just considered a Royal Stetson...aside from the sweat band indentifying a Stetson as a Stratoliner from a Royal Stetson with the same dimensions, what are the differences between the two hats?

By the way, I understand your avtar hat could be either a Strat OR an Open Road. The dimensions if the older Open Roads were all over the place as far as brim width.

The flange of the brim is about the main difference in a Strat & an OR.
Your hat may have had model name on a sticker that is no longer attached.
All vintage Strats had Statoliner marked on them. You could have a hat that had the sweat replaced too.
There are lots of hats that were of the OR style that had no markings, a Stetson mystery....
