I have to be completely honest - MICROWAVING steaks?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!??!?!

Pan fried the other nite, but microwaving can be done: 2mins one side, flip, another minute. Not bad.
Steak can also be cooked wrapped in aluminum foil and fastened atop a jeep engine. Check two hours later.

Pre-cooked bacon, sausage heated in microwave one minute is quite convenient.

A bachelor, I always cut a few corners whenever, wherever.

Some French Comté, Frankfurters, locally produced strawberries. Red wine mousse and Flensburger Dark for dessert.

I am out of everything so I need to make a pit stop at a local grocer enroute home tonite.
Thinking of cooking a bit; perhaps meat loaf made with ground turkey, toss in some bacon (pre-cooked),
ground Ritz crackers, add one egg, tomato sauce. Later, pour remaining tomato sauce over top.
Or just grab a few strip steaks. Or, order in a pizza, erase the grocer out of the equation for tonite.
Mebbe just stop at CVS and pick up a few tins of Spam. Spam with peanut butter and saltine crackers.
A few small bottles of Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, or Sauvignon Blanc. Coke Zero or Diet Pepsi.

We indulged in a genuine culinary adventure last night... a 'live' cooking demonstration by Wolfgang Puck and his son. This was arranged by my fund manager's firm for about 60 clients. It was set up as a Webex meeting with real-time Q & A. All the ingredients were drop-shipped the day before, including two bottles of wine. My wife and daughter did the honors and it was outstanding. He made a real show of it and salted the conversation with great anecdotes. Never sure how it would work out; however, in this case 5-stars.

We prepared:
  • Chinois Chicken Salad
  • Wolfgang’s Signature Mushroom Risotto
  • Molten Chocolate Cake

Love risotto, but lose me at the mushrooms. Like the flavour, hate the texture.
