Culvers pot roast sandwich and crinkle fries. Coke to drink.
Last night's supper was Londin broil ( for the unfamiliar, that is sausage wrapped in bacon wrapped in steak) on the grill, with roasted garlic cauliflower and baked potatoes.
Most any seafood establishment down here has it on the menu, so even if it's not homemade, its easy enough to come by that the can can usually be avoided, but I wouldn't turn my nose up to that, even. Any port in a storm. I had bought a package of pecan cookies to savor post gumbo, but my kids were over so those vanished before I could grab a second one. A pity, they'd have been delicious with the rye my girlfriend brought back from New Orleans earlier in the week.^^^Gumbo's a scarce commodity around Chicago. I have to hunt and nail it down; then, it disappears
off a backstretch café menu, and the prowl begins again. Some canned gumbo grub will do until I find the
real thing cooking atop some stove somewhere around town. Covid's upended everything, even Gumbo....
but I search the world for pecan coffee cake, creamy chicken salad, and gumbo. Real gumbo.
I'm at the wrong house tonight.BBQ bourbon sauce beef kebabs AND maple Chipotle pork steaks, grill roasted herbed potatoes.

That sounds delicious!
