wore in Shackleton? I believe this was a three part A&E series from around 2001 or 2002. It looks like he was wearing some sort of Aussie type oilcloth hat. I could not find a very large photo of Kenneth wearing it, but have included a small photo of it. I thought I would ask in case anybody remembers seeing it. BTW, this series was excellent - quite an adventure.

So, no replies?

From the picture, and from learning more about hats, it looks like it may be a felt fedora rather than oil cloth, but I don't know. I thought somebody else here might have seen the series - it was highly acclaimed when it originally showed. I just thought when I watched it that it was a very good looking hat.

I'm almost positive that is a fur felt. It does not look at all like an aussie oil cloth hat but a 1930's styled fedora.

What about when they crossed South Georgia's mountain to get to the whalers on the other side in the middle of a blizzard and winter?

How did God make guys like that?
