RBH, is that a silverbelly Campdraft in your avatar? I think it would go well with jeans.
You Sir are quite right!
Its a silverbelly Campdraft, and it is worn with jeans.

just make what ever you wear your style and it will work for you.
My usual dress is pretty casual. Jeans and T Shirt much of the time, jeans most of the time. Wondering if the "typical" Fedora hat is too dressy for jeans? I often do move to a silk shirt (Nat Nast typically) for evenings out, would the shirt, jeans and a hat work in most folk's opinion?
Any suggestions/recommendations for a good hat to start with (price range under $100, better yet if around $50 so I could get two colors, one for black or blue shirts and one for earth tones). Suggestions?
I did actually just buy my first "Fedora" style hat, but it's not really thought of as one I think. It's a Filson Tin Cloth Packer hat (oil cloth). It's more for inclement weather, and I think may go well with my goatskin A2 (current issue) flight jacket, and be okay for wearing outside in Michigan's Winter.
Fedoras with jeans?
No way...

No way...
....fedoras are so foreign to those I pass by on a daily basis that it doesn't matter if I wore a....fedora/speedo.
Bart, I mean this with all sincerity---DO NOT TRY THIS WHEN YOU COME TO PLANO FOR HATCO HOMECOMING!!! ESPECIALLY NOT AT LOVE AND WAR!!! Your wife and kids would miss you.....
lollollolBut Wade it will be paired up with a silk jacket...I should be okay[huh]:whistling
Hi
If memory serves, there is a scene in "The Sting" where Paul Newman is wearing a fedora, wife beater, wool pants and suspenders. If you can wear it with wife beaters, you can wear it with ANYTHING.

I think I see some fellow loungers in there! Could you point them out for those of us that can't put a name to a face?
