What style is this Dobbs I just bought?

I saw this Dobbs on eBay and was just curious enough to bid on it even though it's probably not going to fit. Apparently I was the only one, so I won it. It was listed as a derby.

The ribbon is almost as tall as the crown, and the crown appears flat. Any ideas, any one?

It's a flat topped hat. It's similar to the porkpie, but I don't think it ever caught on. Late '40s/ early '50s maybe?

I would have bid, but I sort of just blew the last of my paypal money.

Saw it as well, but am trying to limit my hat-buying to pre-identified purposes (going for the "find a hat to match the rest of the outfit" instead of "what will I need to buy now to go with this hat").

Be sure to post a picture with the hat on when it arrives.
