What size are you?

I suppose I must have a fairly large head. I've always thought that the reason none of the hats I found seemed to fit me was the same reason all the coolest clothes at the thrift store seemed to come in either XXL or small: somebody already bought all the cool regular sized stuff. Recently I've just started noticing the size tags on other people's hats, and I guess I must be just a little big. my head measures 23 inches, so I guess that would be 7 3/8 - 7 1/2.

Then again, I have some pretty long hair, and it's thick, too. I'm planning on shaving it soon, so maybe after that my options for hats could increase, haha.

What's everyone else's size? I'm interested to see.

Size 7 (vintage deals galore!). I can get away with a large 6 7/8, depending upon how long the hair is.

I am in between 8 1/8 and 8 1/4. So it is VERY VERY hard for me to find even a good cap that fits my head. I am a hat retailor and I still can't find a decent dress hat that will fit my head without a stretch. Even when I stretch an 8 it comes back on me very quickly. Just gives me an excuse to one day get a custom from Art .

There's a place in the Public Profiles in this system for each
of us to put in hat size. You can see mine, and a lot of peoples'
there. I have found this information useful, which I find surprising.

6 7/8ths- 7 and I took a chance on a cheap straw 6 3/4 and it is OK but tight. Also one 7 can be tight while another is almost loose. I have 3 size 7s that all fit differently!!

I usually wear a 7 1/2; the exception is my boater, which is a 7 5/8.
