What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

versatile color nice, you can wear it with anything

I actually have another one by Avirex which is a classic Type III in linen, but that one fits like a potato sack. I'm going to have it tailored, though. I hope it's doable without splitting the hem... Thing.

Vintage Hercules black goatskin jacket, c. 1950’s. This jacket is identical to my other recently posted Hercules, differing only in the hide type and listed size (this one being a 48, the steerhide version a 46).

If the tailor have a strong sewing machine like juki it should be able to sew over 3 layers of hem belting thing, otherwise you do hand sewing on the belt part, and let the tailor to finish it, i did hand sewing on my type 2 back basically make anchors here and there not sewing all the way, planning to go to a tailor to finish it but so far it hasnt be done yet it hold up.

On my type3, i take in the waist but avoiding the belted hem

Engineered (unlined, unstructured) jacket in beige/sand cotton twill by Old Town. This is an older jacket (older label and brass buttons) in a 4-button Edwardian style with a figured back, patch pockets. It’s no longer available, but it’s probably a forerunner of the current Marshalsea design.

I'm try that! If for no other reason than to mark how much I want the jacket tightened. Though I gotta do something about the damn shoulders, too... Too wide.

Looks great! I wish they would have agreed to shorten my sleeves an inch.

Wide shoulders and long sleeves are great for motorcycle riding.
