If the tailor have a strong sewing machine like juki it should be able to sew over 3 layers of hem belting thing, otherwise you do hand sewing on the belt part, and let the tailor to finish it, i did hand sewing on my type 2 back basically make anchors here and there not sewing all the way, planning to go to a tailor to finish it but so far it hasnt be done yet it hold up.I actually have another one by Avirex which is a classic Type III in linen, but that one fits like a potato sack. I'm going to have it tailored, though. I hope it's doable without splitting the hem... Thing.
