1940s French half Belt medium weight rich horsehide Has a zip-out fleece liner and snap-on fur collar. Free-range of movement designed to be used for working and short activity easily could swing a shotgun of rifle.
Rolnick pre-Resistol early 50s fedora.
Chesapeake retriever 7 years old, breed from two Newfoundland Hounds that were recused from a ship driven on the rocky New England coast late 19th century. These dogs have been known to make over one hundred retrieves pre-day in icy water.

Jackets like this one are why i buy vintage.
Utilitarian elegance that stands the test of time.
I love MCs et al., plethora hides in contemporary retro-styles and glove soft clingers but give me that old-time rock and roll.....and i will.

I have a soft spot for those vintage Schott suede Type 3 trucker jackets...especially since the sleeves are a bit longer than the vintage Levis equivalent. And the suede is soft, thick and heavy. I just got this one in- in the rare sand color.

I had one of those. Fantastic jacket. Much better than I'd ever expected it to be, if I only saw images of it. I wish I didn't sell it but then again, I'm really not much of a fan of suede.
