I’ve always thought to of Excelled jackets as somewhat lesser quality, mass produced pieces. I gotta say, this HH proto-HWM makes me feel otherwise. Thick, thick horse, heavily painted finish and a really cool liner. More than anything else, these just have a cool fit.

I recall my positive comments on the Fit of my Excelled. Long gone. Those pants don't fit and the shirt is near worn out.

I remember yours Terry! They don’t pop up very often, and when they do, more often than not, they are blown apart. I’d love to find one one in black. Love the fit. Broad shoulders, fairly trim through the body, with a nice curvature to the sleeves. Easy to move in. Just a good pattern.

My Bravestar Badlands jacket in black teacore arrived Friday.

I tried it on for the first time last night and wore it on the couch for a couple of hours. It’s amazing how quick the creases have formed. Great smell to the cowhide, buttery soft. . I’m pleasantly surprised at how much I like the leather and cut. I sized down to a medium as my first Bravestar jacket was a denim Type 3 in large which I ended up selling as it was just too big and long, so the medium has worked beautifully.

It’s a t-shirt only fit for now at least, but a very comfortable, near perfect fit for the chest and shoulders, and the length isn’t too long, which is always my fear on truckers.

No shots wearing it yet, but just look how good it looks already. Again, this is only maybe 2 hours of sitting on my couch. The buttons are definitely TOUGH to start though. They are slowly getting better, but boy do they hurt your fingers right now trying to get them buttoned. Unbuttoning is much easier now though.

oh man, I wish you didn't post this. I've been eyeing these. Leather quality, what would you put it up against? The pics I've seen of this aging is very FCL/Y2 esqe at a very good price.
