The lockdown gave me a lot of time to stay in the shed/workshop/jacket storage space. It also seems to have made me lose weight, so I gazed at some old jackets that I’d forgotten, one is this 2000 era Aero A2, seal jerky with reddish undertone. I bought it used, lining all falling apart and all, but it’s built like a beast. Had lining and zipper repaired at a generic, high quality dry cleaner in New York (French something, near Astor place), then put on some tight red knits bought from Chapman. Then it went straight to storage because the sleeves are quite slim (they fattened up but back in the day the sleeevs were slim) and the Front is very short (Aero A2 still are). But I can suddenly fit in it again so I’ve been wearing it a bit. It feels great! Like a second skin but not having to be thin leather, it’s teacore, it’s very very durable. It could well be someone’s only leather jacket and eventually become part of the owner. The only thing I’d change is to redo the waist knit, make it tighter.

I like the undertone, perfect for Indy LC jacket.

Always liked that pattern, and always suspected it might not work on my physique. Looks great on you, though! Could you perhaps post size and measurements (shoulder and P2P)?
Thanks! Pattern is similar to highwayman. It is a size 38. Pit to pit about 23.5 and shoulder about 19. I added one inch to length as stock is 23.5 back from collar seam. Sleeve I asked for 26. Stock for this size is 25.25 per aero. Overall fit feels similar to my two zip sleeve highwayman jackets. One of those is a touch looser in the body I think that one is 23.75 P2p. That one works well with a button up shirt and or light sweatshirt. Just getting this chips broken in. I have the side laces cinched a little and I do that for my highwaymans a little too. I have about a 40 chest relaxed. 5 10 170 lbs or so. A 40 highwayman would be huge. A 36 might work with thin leather but t shirt only. I had a couple premier highwayman jackets in size 42. Those ended up looking great but just too trim for my liking esp the upper back and shoulders.

Thank you very much! This is very comprehensive. I could easily live with a 23” or so chest and 19” shoulders. I would need a 25,5” sleeve and body too.
I usually wear a 44 in Aeros premier patterns and a 42 for the rest, so I would need to size down seriously for the CHPS.

I am really dedicated to not looking at new jackets for now, but I am also dedicated to visiting Aero sometime in the future. This would be the pattern, I will have a very, very close look at.

Enjoy and wear in good health. This is a great jacket and fit!

I’ve been wearing my LW Rigger every day; it’s been one week since the arrival and she’s breaking in nicely. The first creases and wrinkles are always cool to see. The LW Horsehide is like a blank canvas that you have to decorate with your own unique “art” as you wear it.

Nicely put, Thor. I’ve said it before, but I need to say it again: such a great jacket and such a perfect way to celebrate your impressive anniversary!

Hey @Tom71 thanks! Sincerely. After seeing all the great LW black Horsehide MC jackets posted recently, I was stoked to get my Rigger. Totally thrilled with the jacket, the buying experience was a breeze (3 or 4 e-mails to Stu) and now, best of all, the upcoming break-in process! Couldn’t be happier! :):):)

@handymike @Colin G Thanks for your compliments! It’s an unusual style for a forum like this and I really like it. Good idea to fill all these pockets with unnecessary stuff...in the end my wife does no longer need one her 1000 purses....for sure all of us know that this will never happen ;)
Damn at a glance I thought that was the deadwood! LOL. I should learn to read. That’s a brilliant jacket. The buckles on the patch pockets are delicious. Absolutely love that! Any forum that appreciates cool leather jackets would be graced by these photos. Looking fly Robbie.
