I'm really looking forward to "The Good German" -- not only is it set in the '40s, but it's also made according to the techniques and methods of a '40s studio programmer -- fixed cameras, a fast shoot, minimal special-effects, and a tight, well-acted script. It's basically an experiment to see if a 1946 film can actually be made in 2006, and the early buzz I've heard indicates it's quite successful!
We'll probably be showing it in January or February, and I can hardly wait!
I too am looking forward to The Good German. The trailers looks good, with the exception of the music. Clooney & Soderbergh are a creative team.
I just started reading the book. Who can resist that Casablanca looking cover?
