Last thread got deleted because it got accused of spam and politics. U guys are really sensitive. I'm only trying to find someone who definitively knows what this hat is. I already read your statement, it maybe an open road. Except OR has a cattlemen's crease that Kevin from hats n guitars says can't be steamed out.Why start a new thread? Just post these photos on your other thread.
Did you read the responses on the first thread? They haven't changed - nobody can tell you definitively what this is without looking inside.
Got it about it the other post. And we're not sensitive - we're smart. This place functions with people from everywhere because we keep politics out of the discussion. The videos you posted were political in nature, even if you were only interested in the hat.Last thread got deleted because it got accused of spam and politics. U guys are ready sensitive. Better that you now posted photos.
Kevin from hats n guitars is not right. Maybe the crease won't easily steam out of a modern 6x Open Road, but it certainly will out of any vintage Open Road and it will out of the modern pure beaver as well.
That's why we say we don't know for sure - it could just be a hat he had special made by a local hatter, it could be vintage, it could be modern.
Did you look at the Stetson Stratoliner? That was the other answer on the first thread. Even the cheap modern one comes with a factory crease similar to the photos.
That's a modern hat, so doubtful it's an OR. I can't really see the ribbon well due to shadowing, but if it is thin, likely a modern Strat. Being modern, the odds of it being a Stetson are high.
