Mark, Thanks!VERY striking!!!!
I saw these two magnificent hats first thing this morning and was feeling some serious hat envy, so I spent the day in my beaver Hornskov Broker.Today is my Royal Deluxe Stetson Kashmir finish.

It helped somewhat, as did this huge lunch at a local Taiwanese place we’d been wanting to try. ¥950 ($US6.25) each, and very satisfying.

And Etsuko’s.

And finally, I don’t have the special vintage app, but here’s my vintage version using my regular photo editing app.

Thanks, Rob! I probably should have included your Busted Hats number in the hat envy selection. If I was in the market for another custom felt, I’d certainly be checking them out. That hat just WORKS with that jacket!

Thank you, sir.I love everything about this post!!!
One of the best meals I've ever had was in the Chinatown district of Montreal. Whenever you post a pic of a noodle dish, it always brings back fond memories.Thank you, sir.

Irish coffee in the plans today
Thanks, Steve!Randall, The info is not exactly correct. It's a Tonak who were J. Hückel ´s Söhne up to WWII. Your hat is possibly 1970s. SELCO also sold Tonak under the Hückel brand name in the same time period. The Liner logo on your hat is based on an old J. Hückel ´s Söhne / JHS design. Here is a similar time period SELCO Tonak sold under Hückel brand name.

Here is an original JHS Liner Logo from the later 1930s.

SELCO eventually became Selentino (to this day) also made by Tonak.
I did opt for the Jameson route, Dark roast french press, heavy sugar, heavy cream and a couple shots in each big mug... its doing the job! ( or at least it makes me not notice the malady)Only in Irish coffee may you find the four food groups:
Alcohol
Caffeine
Sugar
Fat
Hope you feel better soon Rick!
Randall, Thanks!Thanks, Steve!
As usual, in the lidded flatlands, you’re a mountain of hat data!

That one's really good on you Rick. Hope you're getting past those flu like symptoms you had earlier.Well darn... the chills came back yesterday afternoon. Not as bad as before but they're back. Weathers cooling down a bit and getting ready to be wet the next several days. Back into sweaters and warm hats. Today we pulled on a nice Sovereign Stetson Firenze in Graphite... really nice dark grey. Nice soft, super smooth fine dense felt ( and warm). Just enough fading of the ribbon to give it some character. Time to stay wrapped up and stay put today. Think theres some Tennessee or Irish coffee in the plans today ( humm... should I go Jameson, Sazerac, or Dickel?)
