What a difference a couple days of sun makes, the blooms are out. Walking the dog tonight in my Ultrafino Havana and enjoying a perfect spring evening.

My new Emko, which we're tentatively dating to the 1910's, just back from Randall rebuilding and upsizing, while keeping it 100 percent original. I believe these are Nutria or Nutria blend fedoras, when compared side by side with my known Nutria hats.

Beautiful hat and Randall did his usual great job on it. I really like how you have it shaped too.

Wartime era Bulgarian Borsalino from a stash that once was in good supply on eBay. It could use a new ribbon but is otherwise in very good shape despite its years of hiding in plain sight. I think of the young couple trying to escape Casablanca when I wear it. I only recently learned that the young woman, who was so believable in her performance, was the step-daughter of movie mogul Jack Warner appearing in her first on screen role.

Max Weise Berlin, Stolzf. Lux. Velour made for Bernward Leineweber, Berlin C Köllnischer Fischmarkt possibly 1930s. I found this fantastic metal gray close cropped Velour back in 2017.

We could sure use another Simeon Zlateff haul for us afficionados here. Magnificent hat, Alan.

I sold a hat today. My Stack. Mixed emotions about selling were swirling in my head, but were put to rest as soon as I met Pete, the Stack (yes, Stack Hats!) family descendant in search of a piece of family legacy. I felt that in the case of a family member, the hat deserved to return home, but also, who would take better care of it than he? Nobody!

I wore a Borsalino for the meetup.
